Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the process for application and selection?
+The process for application and selection is as follows:
- Complete the application form here
- After submitting the form, you will be directed to our test platform where you'll take three stages of tests (Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III). A confirmation email will be sent to you.
a. Stages I and II: Multiple-choice quiz
b. Stage III: Sample editing test in your area of expertise - Your eligibility for a contract will be based on the total score from all three stages, compared to our predefined benchmarks. This contract includes a freelance editor agreement, terms of service, and other necessary documents.
- Once you successfully complete the hiring process, you'll be welcomed into our prestigious team of freelance editors.
Are there any specific instructions for the test?
+The test must be edited using the "Track Changes" feature in MS Word. The provided sample is not a complete representation of the actual work you'll receive; it's only for evaluating your skills. The sample will be an excerpt from a manuscript written by non-native English-speaking authors, meant for an international audience. Therefore, aside from typical revisions related to language, grammar, punctuation, and academic writing style, you may need to restructure sentences and make content adjustments. You can use comments or notes to clarify significant changes or explain content enhancements, if applicable, and to address any ambiguities.
Do I need specific software for this test?
+No, you only need Microsoft Word.
