Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is the process for application and selection?
+The application and selection procedure involves the following steps:
- Complete the application form here
- After clicking the "submit" button, you'll be directed to our sample test platform, which includes three stages (Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III), and you will receive a confirmation email.
a. Stage I and II: Multiple-choice quiz
b. Stage III: Sample editing test based on your chosen area of expertise - We evaluate your performance across all three stages using predefined benchmarks to assess your eligibility for a contract. The contract will include a freelance editor agreement, service terms, and other relevant documents.
- Once you complete the hiring steps successfully, you will be welcomed and integrated into our pool of expert freelance editors.
Are there any special instructions for the test?
+The test should be edited using the “Track Changes” function in MS Word. The sample is not fully indicative of the work you will be assigned; its purpose is solely for assessing your skills. The sample will consist of a section of a manuscript written by non-native English speakers, intended for a global audience. In addition to typical revisions related to language, grammar, punctuation, and academic writing, it may require restructuring sentences and making content changes as needed. Feel free to use supporting comments or notes to explain any major changes or content improvements, or to clarify any uncertainties.
Do I need any specific software to take the test?
+No, Microsoft Word is the only software required.
